J.C. Pearson is
a living example of what can be accomplished through
hard work and determination. J.C. is intimately familiar
with the hardships that plague socio-economically
disadvantaged families across the nation. He spent
his formative years in Miami Florida’s Housing
Projects. As the youngest of eight siblings, J.C.’s
life was further challenged by his mother’s
incarceration when he was just eight years old. One
of his older sisters assumed the then vacant mother
role and moved the family to Alexandria, Virginia
where J.C. successfully graduated from Mount Vernon
High School. Though fatherless, motherless, and for
periods – homeless; J.C. stands before you today
as a graduate of Morgan State University with a bachelor
of science degree in Political Science.
I encourage you to
follow his journey from poverty to prosperity understanding
that hard work and determination are available to
any who chose them. While many young men choose to
exist at the margins of society, involving themselves
in drug distribution, gang activity, and other facets
of the underground economy, J.C. chose the road less
traveled.
Listen and be encouraged
by the J.C. experience.
Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome:
J.C. Pearson
